SugarCRM Acquires Stitch — New in Sugar Mobile
SugarCRM recently purchased mobile startup Stitch in an effort to improve enhance productivity for the CRM’s mobile users. So what does this mean for Sugar Mobile? Well, Stitch is a very exciting app (it won first at Salesforce’s Hack-a-than 2014) that connects data from other parts of the sales cloud and “stitches” them together.
So what is Stitch?
Stitch creates an interface that ranks your daily prospects to help salespeople re-engage with the right prospects at the right time. Stitch lets you know the most valuable and relevant things to do, right now.
How does Stitch work?
Once Stitch is calibrated with your sales process (which you help set up), it starts making suggestions to find the most valuable and relevant things to do on a “right now” basis. What we don’t know is how your sales process is calibrated with your CRM (such as average sales cycle).
Stitch’s capabilities in Sugar will allow you to know which emails were opened, and which were viewed. Stitch also manages cloud files from Dropbox, Box or Highlife so you can manage documents on the fly. You can also save and reuse email templates to resend to your prospects from your mobile device. that way you don’t have to retype over and over again. This means that Stitch is also a fully functional email application.
“The Stitch application is essentially a mobile assistant for salespeople, grouping and sifting through cloud-based documents to provide personalized sales recommendations via analytic insights.” – Natalie Galiordi, ZDNet
When and how is Stitch going to be incorporated into Sugar?
We’ll, we’re not 100 percent sure when SugarCRM is tabling the release of Stitch and it’s capabilities into Sugar. What we do know is that all of these pieces of functionality (plus probably much more) will be included in the next launch of Sugar, at least at the Enterprise level. Sugar’s mobile client is good, but we’re very confident this will push the limit of what CRM apps are capable of.
